Help For Heroes

I have been an avid supporter of the Help For Heroes charity for many years, with the organization holding a close place in my heart due to my families links with the armed forces. Over the years I have raised funds and awareness for the charity through my appearance in the Hot Shots Calendar as a Calendar and Cover Girl. Help For Heroes is a worthy cause which changes the lives of those wounded, physically or mentally from combat, and helps them back into civvy street, gaining new skills and confidence along the way. I am always humbled and honoured to work alongside the Band of Brothers and Sisters, along with the team of staff and volunteers who all do an incredible job at supporting those who need it most. Wheelchair Basketball at Tedworth House
Trying out Wheelchair Basketball at Tedworth House Recovery Centre, Nov’ 2019.

In 2018 I took on the Big Battlefield Bike Ride Challenge, cycling 320 miles through France to Mons, Belgium as part of an effort to raise funds for this worthy cause. This year I tackled the Big Battlefield Bike Ride challenge once more, cycling the Normandy Beaches through to Paris with my Dad, who is a RAF Veteran. I covered my journey on my YouTube channel and on Welsh TV channel S4C’s daily magazine show ‘Heno’.

Big Battlefield Bike Ride Help For Heroes

I recently attended a Debenhams Influencer day at one of Help For Heroes’ recovery centre’s ‘Tedworth House’, to launch their new clothing collaboration with all profits going to the charity. We tried our hand at wheelchair basketball, one of the many recovery sessions available for those wounded in combat.
